Hit the Bigtime...
I recently did the cover art and layout for the 'best band in the world' aka Matty Effin' Morison's new CD titled 'Hit the Bigtime' pictured below.
The boys officially released the album last Saturday night at their gig with Frenzal Rhomb in Coffs Harbour. If you managed to escape the clutches of the drunk merch guy the other night and haven't yet managed to get your hands on this year's ultimate status symbol, 'Hit the Bigtime' is now available at Open Studio for only $15 bucks. Yew!
Check out the clip below of some of the madness from the album launch...

Now Showing
Steve Harris' show opened last Friday night with a steady flow of punters who turned out to take in some of Steve's Artline wizardry. Corpus Mingus and Smash Mystery both played great sets and laid a great soundtrack to the artwork on the walls.
The exhibition will be on show for another couple of weeks so make sure you don't miss the opportunity to take one of these awesome works home...

...and bring your 3D glasses if you've got 'em!

Here are a few flix from the Saturday mini jam in the park with a few of the Open Studio regulars...
Alanna Shorter and I painted this caravan for a happy couple...
The sun was shining...
And Kermit the frog wore his Borat budgie smuglers...

Another quicky...
This was a quick commission for a client that wanted that extra special gift for his wife for their first anniversary of their wedding. They were married under a big tree was all I was told. I added in the butterflies because I was listening to the 'Plague of Butterflies ' EP from Swallow the Sun and I thought they would be a nice touch to add some movement and life to the atmosphere of the painting.
When he picked it up the next day he was stoked because apparently there just happened to be butterflies everywhere on their wedding day!
Nice.
